This site is run by Ian Shortman. It's designed to make use of open rail data, with accessible and useful results.

This site is designed to present GB train timetables in an open and searchable form with route maps, map stations, and provide train performance information. In the future I hope to allow for journey planning with change of trains, information on fares, and live network updates.

Accuracy is not guaranteed, please read the disclaimer for full details.

Timetables are updated regularly, with atleast 85 days of confirmed timetables. Commonly, data is available for over 6 months, however engineering works may still impact these journeys.

Timetable data is provided by RSP under cc by 2.0 uk licence. It's available as part of the Government's Open Data initiative, and can be downloaded at data.atoc.org for free.

Map data sourced from NaPTAN (Open Government Licence) and OpenStreetMap (cc by-sa 3.0).

Technical

This site employs CIFReader (GPL) and Bootstrap (Apache 2.0).

Map tiles by OCM displayed with Leaflet by CloudMade (attribution licence).

This site is run on an unix server, employing PHP, MySQL and Redis, and is HTML5 and CSS3 compliant.
